Sustainable Energy Solutions Sweden Holding AB (SENS) and real estate company Aeonic AB have decided to team up in the development of solar parks and battery storage systems across Sweden and will set up a joint venture to identify and secure suitable land areas for future projects.

The partnership will initially seek to secure six to nine land areas from the fourth quarter of 2023 to the second quarter of 2024, according to a statement released today.

“By combining Aeonic's knowledge and network in the real estate sector with our expertise in sustainable energy, we are confident that we can strengthen our project portfolio of solar and battery parks in strategic locations in Sweden,” said SENS’ chief executive Henrik Boman.

Over the past months, SENS has been actively securing terrains for future power generation and energy storage projects. Most recently, the company announced the signing of new land lease agreements in the country for two solar farm projects coupled with battery energy storage systems (BESSs) with a combined power generating capacity of 55 MW.
