World set to install 593 GW of new solar in 2024 - Ember
Sep 19, 2024 13:28 CESTMay 15, 2013 - The morale in Germany's renewable energy sector improved in April but remained gloomy as the industry experiences serious difficulties.
The index measuring morale in the renewable energy industry, which is compiled by the German renewable energy industry institute Internationales Wirtschaftsforum Regenerative Energien (IWR), grew slightly to 90.7 points, IWR said on Tuesday.
The reading thus remained below 100 points, the threshold separating pessimism from optimism.
The sentiment brightened somewhat due to the break-down of talks between the government and state leaders on proposals to curb power price rises. The plan is not completely off the table but concrete decisions will be made after the general elections in September.
In addition to a better assessment of the current situation, the companies also were slightly more upbeat about the future development of the industry.
