Chinese solar product maker Seraphim Energy Group Co Ltd has sealed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deliver up to 1 GW of photovoltaic (PV) modules to Luxembourg-based renewable energy investor and developer Resolar Sarl.

The equipment will be used by Resolar in projects planned to be executed in 2023, the companies announced on Wednesday. The capacity will be installed in the EU solar market, while specific details about the selected locations and required investment were not available.

The MoU was signed in light of the REPowerEU plan, through which the European Commission (EC) seeks to end Europe’s dependence on Russian gas and accelerate clean energy transition.

"Resolar regards Seraphim as a long-term partner," said Luis López Martínez, CEO of Resolar.

Since its establishment in 2011, Seraphim Energy has delivered hardware for more than 14 GW of solar projects globally, the firm noted.
