Jordan Green agrees land deal for solar-powered green ammonia hub
Sep 20, 2024 5:52 CESTBELGRADE (Serbia), December 1 (SeeNews) – Iceland-based engineering company Mannvit said it has won a renewable energy consulting deal in Serbia as part of a consortium led by Spanish firm Eptisa.
The value of the contract was not disclosed.
The European Union has allocated 1.5 million euro ($2.0 million) for the project that aims to contribute to sustainable development in Serbia, Mannvit said in a statement posted on its website earlier this week.
“This consulting project is being conducted for the Serbian Ministry of Mining and Energy to explore renewable energy sources, specifically geothermal energy and combined heat and power (CHP) potential,” the statement said.
Mannvit said it will act as a project coordinator in mapping of geothermal energy resources in Serbia with the consortium partners, select three most suitable areas of cooperation with the ministry and conduct pre-feasibility studies for geothermal utilisation at the three sites.
Mannvit will also contribute to the study of the CHP market in Serbia.
The project is expected to take 18 months to complete.
