Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTSerbian state-owned energy utility EPS said it has invited bids for the drafting of a feasibility study for the Kostolac wind farm project.
The winning bidder will also draw up the preliminary design for the project, a document posted on the EPS website on Tuesday indicated.
The bidding deadline is November 13.
Earlier this month, local media quoted EPS boss Aleksandar Obradovic as saying the company plans to invest in alternative energy sources in the future.
Last month, the power utility invited bids for the preparation of the investment and technical paperwork to obtain the necessary permits for the construction of a solar park near Kostolac.
Serbia has no installed wind power capacity.
The total net output capacity of the EPS power generation facilities added up to 7,124 MW at the end of 2014. The group's electricity output fell 14.6% to 31,963 GWh last year.
