Jordan Green agrees land deal for solar-powered green ammonia hub
Sep 20, 2024 5:52 CESTBELGRADE (Serbia), April 4 (SeeNews) – The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is considering providing a loan of 45 million euro ($64 million) to Serbia’s power monopoly EPS for the construction of small-sized hydro power plants, Belgrade-based media reported.
The power plants would have an installed capacity of up to 10 megawatts each, news provider EMportal (www.emportal.rs) quoted EPS CEO Dragomir Markovic as saying late on Sunday.
“We hope that this project will be launched as soon as this year,” EMportal quoted Markovic as saying.
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has given a preliminary approval for the loan but the lender's board of directors will have the final say, Markovic said.
Local media quoted Markovic as saying earlier that the power plants will be located in central and western Serbia.
EPS is currently conducting a feasibility study for the project.
