Jordan Green agrees land deal for solar-powered green ammonia hub
Sep 20, 2024 5:52 CESTBELGRADE (Serbia), April 28 (SeeNews) – Serbian holding company YU Kapital plans to invest up to 10 million euro ($14.9 million) this year in the construction of two biomass-fuelled power plants, Belgrade-based media reported.
The Belgrade-based company plans to build three or four more similar facilities in 2012, news provider Ekapija (www.ekapija.com) quoted CEO Marko Krajncic as saying last week.
The facilities, to run mainly on organic waste, will have an installed capacity of either 500 kilowatts (kW) or 1.0 megawatts each.
“Based on our calculations, we will not invest in a facility with a capacity that is below 250 kW,” Krajncic said, adding that the facilities will be build on land plots of at least two hectares each.
Three of the planned power generation facilities will be located in Serbia’s northern province of Vojvodina with the possibility of one being close to the capital Belgrade, he said. Two will be built in Pirot, in the south.
