Indian renewable power and clean energy solutions provider Serentica Renewables has pledged to develop 10 GW of round-the-clock renewable energy projects across the state of Andhra Pradesh.

The commitment was made during a meeting with Lokesh Nara, minister of IT electronics and communication, human resources development and real-time governance in the Andhra Pradesh Cabinet.

Serentica’s pledge will support the local government’s plan to develop 72 GW of renewable energy by 2030.

“With the government’s strong support, we are excited to be part of this journey that will not only harness the renewable potential of AP [Andhra Pradesh] but also create significant employment opportunities,” the company noted in a social media post on Thursday.

Launched in 2022 and backed by US private equity firm KKR & Co, Serentica offers solar, wind, energy storage and balancing solutions. The company has about 4,000 MW of projects under development, including 2,550 MW of solar and 1,400 MW of wind, according to its website.
