The Republic of the Seychelles plans to hold a tender for the right to develop, finance, own and operate a 4-MW salt-water floating solar power array in the Lagoon le Rocher.

The Seychelles Energy Commission (SEC) will be conducting the process, while the Public Utility Corporation (PUC) will be the eventual off-taker, the announcement says. The tender is backed by African Legal Support Facility (ALSF), an organisation hosted by the African Development Bank and the Clinton Foundation.

The parties interested in bidding for this project are invited to an information session that will take place at the Savoy Hotel in Mahe, Seychelles, on April 26. The event will include a visit to the project site.

The deadline for registration is April 20.
