Electric Wind Power (SHA:688660), a unit of Shanghai Electric Power Co (HKG:2727), has secured a supply order for the 40-MW Hai Anh Wind Farm Project in Quang Tri Province, Vietnam.

The contract encompasses eight Electric Wind Power’s WH5.25-172 turbines, the Chinese company announced last week.

Hai Anh is the result of a joint venture between Hai Anh Wind Power Company, IPC Construction Joint Stock Company (IPC E&C), and Asia Industrial Technology Joint Stock Company (ACIT).

Covering an area of 855.25 hectares (2,113.36 acres), the park is Electric Wind Power's first wind power project in Vietnam, and it boasts the largest onshore wind turbine diameter in the country to date.

The wind facility's foundation anchor components are scheduled for delivery by the end of next month, while the turbines should be in place in June. Grid connection is planned to take place sometime before November 2024, the firm noted.
