Israeli company Shikun & Binui Energy announced today that it has received the batteries needed for its Tidhar solar-plus-storage project in the Gaza Envelope region.

The scheme includes the installation of 10 MW of solar generating capacity and a 54-MWh battery energy storage system (BESS).

The Tidhar development is Shikun & Binui’s second project in the area. The company is currently building the Netiv HaAsara project which comprises 12 MW of solar, coupled with 56 MWh of storage.

“Both projects are located in the Gaza Envelope region and are high priorities for us as we are committed to supporting the region's recovery and growth following the terror attack in October last year,” the company noted in a social media post on Tuesday.
