Singapore lines up 1.4 GW of solar imports from Indonesia, ups goal
Sep 06, 2024 12:53 CESTJapanese renewables developer Shizen Energy Inc, together with compatriots Alamport Inc and NiX JAPAN Co Ltd, has received an order to construct a 3.03-MWp rooftop solar power array in Indonesia.
The photovoltaic (PV) system will be built for industrial paper products manufacturer PT Eco Paper Indonesia, a subsidiary of PT Alkindo Naratama Tbk (ALDO).
The facility will be set up by PT ATW Alam Hijau (Alam Energy), a jointly established firm between the Japanese trio and solar power equipment provider ATW Group.
Covering a total area of approximately 14,000 sq m (150,694 sq ft) on the roof of Eco Paper’s factory in Subang, Jawa Barat, the industrial roof-mounted solar power plant will allow Eco Paper to offset over 50,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions during the 25 years contract period, Shizen noted.
