Solarvest lands USD-26m solar EPCC job in Malaysia, posts profit bump
Sep 03, 2024 8:58 CESTJapanese Shizen Energy has inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Majuperak Holdings Berhad (KLSE:MJPERAK) for the development of solar power in Malaysia's Perak state.
The cooperation agreement concerns the co-development of ground-mounted solar power projects, feasibility studies on bodies of water suitable for floating solar schemes and co-funding of solar projects.
No further details about the solar projects or the deal were disclosed in the press statement.
"This collaboration promises the advancement of renewable energy and positive outcomes for local communities, including job creation, technology sharing, and economic prosperity", stated Syed Agil Syed Hashim, Group CEO of Majuperak Holdings.
Rei Ushikubo, CEO of Shizen International, noted that this MoU benefits both companies at the same time it can boost the Perak state’s socio-economic development while supporting its 2030 target and low-carbon energy initiatives.
