IEA urges proactive measures to integrate renewables
Sep 18, 2024 11:17 CESTDec 19, 2012 - Edison Mission Energy (EME), part of Edison International (NYSE:EIX), has extended by five years its service agreement with German Siemens AG (ETR:SIE) for a 161-MW wind farm near Amarillo, Texas.
Thus, Siemens will provide service and maintenance for its turbines at the Wildorado Wind Ranch for a period of 10 years in total, the German group said today.
Completed in 2007, the wind farm consists of 70 units of the SWT-2.3-93 wind turbine, which can meet the electricity needs of more than 50,000 households.
