French packaging group Albea agrees 12-MWp solar off-take deal
Sep 19, 2024 5:38 CESTOct 29, 2013 - French photovoltaic (PV) modules maker Sillia Energie will submit a new offer for German Bosch's 160 MW solar plant in Venissieux, central France, by the end of this week, news site La Tribune said on Tuesday referring to trade union sources.
Earlier in October Sillia Energie's consortium partners withdrew from the acquisition project, hence the revision, which, reportedly, will reduce the number of the rehired workers to 130 from 150 under the initial plan. This, according to the trade union officials, may trigger serious social tensions. Alternative solutions, including a takeover by a workers cooperative Scop are all under consideration, the sources said.
Bosch had put up for sale the site, which employs 240, in March 2013, as part of its plans to exit the solar energy business.
