Iberdrola inaugurates 496-MW Saint-Brieuc wind farm offshore France
Sep 19, 2024 16:25 CESTSingaporean renewables company Sunseap Group Pte Ltd said today it has won the right to build a 10-MW solar farm in Cambodia that would be the local government’s first ever large-scale solar project.
Now, the firm expects its unit Sunseap (Asset) Cambodia Co Ltd to sign a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with state-owned company Electricite Du Cambodge (EDC) in connection with the project.
The solar park will be built near the city of Bavet in Svay Rieng province. Upon completion in the first half of next year, the plant will be generating enough electricity to cover the annual consumption of about 2,600 local homes.
The project aligns with the government’s plan to bolster the country’s energy security and provide power to 100% of villages by 2020.
