Meyer Burger's CEO and CFO to exit as revamp plan unveiled
Sep 18, 2024 11:49 CESTJul 29, 2013 - The situation at the drilling spot of the St. Gallen geothermal power plant project has normalised after the earthquake that took place on Jul 20, municipal utility St. Gallen Stadtwerke said Friday.
The pressure in the drilling hole at a depth of 4,450 metres (14,599 ft) is now normal and the strength of the aftershocks of the 3.6-magnitude quake is decreasing, the experts added.
The earthquake is said to be triggered by the drilling works.
A group of experts is now analysing the grounds for the quake and will give a press conference tomorrow morning.
It is still unclear if the project will be further developed.
