Slovenia's net electricity production decreased by 11% month-on-month to 1,185 GWh in June, while total electricity consumption fell 1% to 1,170 GWh, the country's statistical office said on Wednesday.

The output of hydro power plants decreased by 23%, that of thermal power plants fell by 12%, while the sole nuclear power plant, Krsko, produced 5% more electricity on the month, the statistic agency said citing provisional data.

In line with the lower production in thermal power plants, fuel consumption in June also dropped by 11%.

In June, 825 GWh of electricity was imported and 807 GWh was exported.
