Bulgaria's NEK opens tender for new turbines at pumped storage plant
Sep 18, 2024 13:50 CESTSOFIA (Bulgaria), August 26 (SeeNews) – The Bulgarian stock indices ended mostly higher on Tuesday as turnover on the regulated market rose, bourse data indicated.
The blue-chip SOFIX index, which tracks the 15 most liquid shares on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), closed 0.31% higher at 552.36 points after falling 0.57% in the previous session.
The broader BGBX40, which includes the 40 most traded shares, rose 0.32% to 108.49 points after ending 0.01% higher on Monday.
The bourse's turnover on the regulated market totalled 400,000 levs ($269,900/204,500 euro), up from 385,900 levs in the previous day.
Industrial Holding Bulgaria [BUL:4ID] was the top SOFIX gainer, closing 5.51% higher at 1.15 levs in a volume of 2,480 shares.
Car battery producer MonBat [BUL:5MB] was the top blue-chip decliner, ending 3.0% lower at 8.381 levs in a volume of 683 shares.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of the real estate investment trusts, was up 0.62% to 98.05 points after growing 0.91% in the previous session.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, fell 0.12% to 415.89 points after a fall of 0.20% on Monday.
