Bulgaria's NEK opens tender for new turbines at pumped storage plant
Sep 18, 2024 13:50 CESTSOFIA (Bulgaria), February 13 (SeeNews) – The Bulgarian stock exchange indices ended mostly higher on Friday as turnover on the regulated market fell, bourse data indicated.
The blue-chip SOFIX index, which tracks the 15 most liquid shares on the BSE, closed 0.54% higher at 496.97 points after falling 1.83% on Thursday.
The broader BGBX40, which tracks the 40 most traded shares, was 0.33% up to 99.66 points after falling 1.73% in the previous trading session.
Turnover on the regulated market fell to 183,700 levs ($107,100/93,900 euro) from 932,600 levs on Thursday.
Agribusiness company Zarneni Hrani Bulgaria [BUL:T43] was the top SOFIX gainer, closing 6.59% higher at 0.469 levs as 500 shares were traded.
Resort operator Albena [BUL:6AB] was the biggest SOFIX loser, closing 1.11% lower at 53.40 levs as just two shares changed hands.
Car battery manufacturer MonBat [BUL:5MB] was the most traded blue chip with 5,366 shares changing hands.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of the real estate investment trusts, ended 0.28% higher to 96.86 points after falling 1.47% in the previous session.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, ended 0.01% lower at 391.74 points after falling 1.24% on Thursday.
