Bulgaria's NEK opens tender for new turbines at pumped storage plant
Sep 18, 2024 13:50 CESTSOFIA (Bulgaria), July 31 (SeeNews) – The Sofia stock indices closed mixed on Thursday amid lower total turnover, stock exchange data indicated.
The blue-chip SOFIX index, which tracks the 15 most liquid shares on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange (BSE), added 0.11% to 540.73 points after ending 1.0% lower in the previous session.
The broader BGBX40, which includes the 40 most traded shares, fell 0.12% to 106.06 points after losing 1.26% on Wednesday.
The bourse's total turnover on the regulated market fell to 647,700 levs ($443,500/331,200 euro) from 935,900 levs in the previous trading session.
Tobacco producer Bulgartabac Holding [BUL: 57B] was the top blue-chip gainer, closing 7.10% higher at 58.00 levs as five shares were traded.
Car battery producer MonBat [BUL:5MB] was the top blue-chip decliner, ending 1.75% lower at 8.40 levs in a volume of 421 shares.
The BG-REIT index, which tracks the performance of the real estate investment trusts, was up 0.38% to 99.71 points after falling 0.23% on Wednesday.
The BG TotalReturn30 index, in which companies with a free float of at least 10% have equal weight, fell 0.56% to 408.88 points after going down 0.49% on Wednesday.
