Solamon names Chris Assad SVP with focus on Middle East, Central America

Dec 5, 2012 - Canada-based renewable energy technologies firm Solamon Energy Corp (FRA:SSL) said Tuesday it had appointed Chris Assad as senior vice president for special operations as part of its expansion in the Middle East and Central America.

Assad will be responsible for finding new opportunities for the company and sell its Apollo Acre turnkey solution to commercial-scale solar farms in Lebanon, Tunisia, Kuwait, Cuba and Panama.

After announcing Assad’s appointment, Solamon’s president Jay Yeo said the company would soon disclose information about new projects and voiced optimism for a series of potential deals in the Middle East for utility-scale solar plants in more than one country.
