J-Power signs solar VPPA for Tokyo Metro in Japan
Sep 18, 2024 15:26 CEST(ADPnews) - Nov 8, 2010 - Japanese photovoltaic (PV) firm Solar Frontier on Saturday said it opened the 1 MW Miyazaki Solar Park in Japan.
The park, located in Miyazaki Prefecture, consists of a solar power plant and a solar training centre. The latter is a core element of the company's strategy to steadily improve its services, Solar Frontier said.
The project is supported by the prefecture.
Miyazaki Solar Park is the second PV project of such a scale. Solar Frontier's parent company -- Japanese gasoline (petrol) provider Showa Shell Sekiyu KK (TYO:5002) -- already built the 1 MW Yukigunigata Mega Solar Park in Niigata Prefecture in August 2010.
