Chinese solar tracker manufacturer Arctech Solar Holding Co Ltd (SHA:688408) said today that it has been contracted to equip the 500-MW Manah I solar project developed by EDF Renewables and Korea Western Power Corporation (KOWEPO) in Oman.

Arctech will supply its Arctech's flagship 1P SkyLine II tracker designed in four different module heights to better adapt to the topography of the terrain in Oman's Ad Dakhiliyah Governorate. The devices are characterised by their multi-point drive mechanism and triple D torque tube.

Manah I is the first project for EDF Renewables and KOWEPO in Oman. The tandem reached financial close on the project in January.

The contract with EDF Renewables and KOWEPO comes after Arctech was selected as a trackers supplier for the Manah Solar II project in the Sultanate.
