Australian solar window company ClearVue Technologies Ltd (ASX:CPV) on Wednesday said it has signed a letter of intent (LoI) for its first commercial installation in North America that could see its patented solar energy windows fitted in at a new office building in Atlanta, Georgia.

The agreement is with Atlanta-based private investment company LabReal LLC and is for using 250 square metres (2,691 sq ft) of ClearVue photovoltaic (PV) glazing at a new medical office and laboratory building.

Construction of the project is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2022. The company said the building will be a reference site for its technology, leading to bigger sales in the North American market.

The deal is subject to final glass selection of the architects, engineers and LabRea.

The news follows a recent announcement that along with Nodis, ClearVue will take part in a US Air Force evaluation of their power-generating smart window technologies.
