Vistra agrees USD 3.25bn buyout of zero-carbon energy unit
Sep 19, 2024 11:01 CESTMay 30, 2012 - US solar system and energy efficiency firm SolarCity today said it had installed a 295-kW solar power system on a facility of Bayer Healthcare, part of German chemicals and pharmaceuticals group Bayer AG (ETR:BAYN), in the city of Berkeley, California.
SolarCity financed, designed, and built the system, and will provide monitoring and maintenance services. It will supply electricity to Bayer Healthcare's manufacturing facilities in Berkeley.
The solar system includes 1,000 solar panels installed on a carport structure and will produce enough electricity to save some 10 million pounds (4.5 million kg) of greenhouse gas emissions over the next 20 years, according to SolarCity.
