Malaysian solar system installer Solarvest Holdings Bhd on Monday announced a MYR-42.9m (USD 10.3m/EUR 8.7m) contract to install 10.95 MW of solar capacity for local property firm M K Land Holdings Herhad (KLSE:MKLAND).

This is the first project for Solarvest as part of the Large-Scale Solar 4 competitive bidding programme. The developer is eyeing projects worth between MYR 600 million and MYR 700 million as part of it.

The contract, which includes full turnkey engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning, was awarded to Solarvest's subsidiary Atlantic Blue Sdn Bhd by M K Land subsidiary Solar Citra Sdn Bhd.

The solar facility will be constructed in Kerian district in the state of Perak and is expected to be commissioned in 2023.
