Elawan bags Google PPA for 37-MW solar project in Texas
Sep 19, 2024 13:49 CESTSolarWindow Technologies (OTCMKTS:WNDW) today said Los Angeles-based Triview Glass Industries LLC will make certain SolarWindow power-generating glass products at commercial scale.
Triview Glass will integrate its new partner’s technologies into its manufacturing processes.
The production agreement has been signed after SolarWindow made sure its electricity-generating coatings can be processed through the rigorous autoclave system for window glass lamination at Triview. Glass modules with SolarWindow coatings have been subjected to the high heat and pressure of autoclave equipment and they continued to produce electricity, as shown by subsequent performance tests.
SolarWindow says power-producing windows could reduce electricity demand in commercial buildings by 30% to 50% and provide a one-year financial payback, based on engineering modelling for a 50-storey building.
