Elawan bags Google PPA for 37-MW solar project in Texas
Sep 19, 2024 13:49 CESTMar 7, 2012 - Solect Energy Development LLC will install photovoltaic (PV) solar power systems totaling almost 600 kW at two sporting complexes in the US state of Massachusetts owned by Fore Kicks.
A system with a capacity of 302 kW will be deployed at Fore Kicks' facility in Marlborough, while the company's complex in Norfolk will be equipped with a 282-kW installation, Solect said on Tuesday.
The two roof-mounted systems will meet almost all of Fore Kicks' annual electricity demand, according to the press release from the Massachusetts-based solar project developer, which says it now has 7 MW of completed or under-development installations in New England.
Tom Teager, Fore Kicks president and chief executive, said the buildings had been designed with a plan to incorporate solar installations, but the firm had been waiting for costs to fall and panel efficiency to climb.
