French packaging group Albea agrees 12-MWp solar off-take deal
Sep 19, 2024 5:38 CEST(ADPnews) - Nov 5, 2010 - German solar technology company Solon SE (ETR:SOO1) yesterday inaugurated two photovoltaic (PV) plants with a combined capacity of 3 MW in France.
The firm's subsidiary -- Solon Investments -- installed nearly 14,500 modules from the type SOLON Blue 230 polycristalline on two former launching platforms for nuclear intercontinental ballistic missiles in the Rhone-Alpes region in France. The installation is situated on 1,100 metres (3,609 feet) height.
Solon manufactures PV modules and supplies PV systems for large-scale solar power plants. The firm is headquartered in Germany and has offices in Austria, Italy, Switzerland, the US and founded a subsidiary in Lyon, France, in August this year.
