Soltec bags 367-MW solar tracker order from X-Elio in Spain Soltec trackers supplied in Spanish plant

Spanish solar energy specialist Soltec Power Holdings SA (BME:SOL) has won an order to supply 367 MW worth of trackers for a solar project in Spain, it said on Thursday.

The supply contract was awarded by Spain-based renewables developer X-Elio. X-Elio will use the trackers for its Lorca solar project located in the Spanish region of Murcia.

The Lorca plant will be equipped with a total of 5,948 solar trackers. Soltec will deliver its SFOne product, which is a single-row, dual-axis tracker with a low profile that lessens the visual impact.

Soltec said it had also contributed to the field testing of the project and the technical definition of the plant.

The tracker supplies are due to begin at the end of February. Once in operation, the Lorca solar farm will be capable of generating 748 GWh of power during its first year, Soltec added.
