Spanish solar energy specialist Soltec Power Holdings SA (BME:SOL) has signed a contract to supply its trackers for a 164-MW solar project in the US state of Virginia.

Soltec said on Thursday that it will deliver the trackers to US solar and storage EPC contractor Blue Ridge Power, the Spanish group’s repeat customer.

The order includes the supply of Soltec’s SF7 trackers with a 2-in-portrait configuration. These trackers have fewer parts and are easy to assemble, lowering construction time and structural costs of the project, according to the manufacturer.

Soltec has an SF7 variant -- the SF7 US -- designed specifically for the US market.
