Spanish solar energy expert Soltec Power Holdings SA (BME:SOL) has secured a contract to supply 130 MW of its SF7 trackers for a solar project located in Badajoz province, in Spain’s Extemadura region.

Soltec said on Tuesday that it will deliver the trackers to civil engineering and construction group Obrascon Huarte Lain SA (BME:OHLA).

The SF7 tracker features a two-module vertical configuration (2P) and easily adapts to the terrain, ensuring efficient installation and operation and maintenance, Soltec said of its product.

The new solar farm in Badajoz will be equipped with a total of 2,658 Soltec trackers.

The project broke ground recently. Construction is expected to commence in the coming weeks.
