The molecules will be used to manufacture green steel at Tosyali's steel complex in Algeria, Sonatrach said in a press statement.
Tosyali Iron Steel Industry Algeria is a subsidiary of Turkey's Tosyali Holding. The company has an iron and steel production complex in the industrial city of Bethioua in Oran, the second largest city in Algeria.
The initiative with Sonatrach is in line with Algeria's national hydrogen strategy, which aims to reduce natural gas consumption in the country and thus reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
