Independent solar power producer (IPP) Sonnedix Power Holdings Ltd will transfer all of its solar operations in Puerto Rico, including 73.2 MW of installed capacity, to US private equity house ArcLight Capital Partners LLC.

Named Puerto Rico Operations, the portfolio consists of two operating photovoltaic (PV) plants -- Oriana and Horizon, a dedicated operations and asset management team, and other entities focused on solar and battery energy storage projects.

Once the deal is closed, Puerto Rico Operations will conduct business under the Infinigen name, ArcLight's renewables platform.

The decision to leave the Puerto Rican market comes as a strategic manoeuvre to focus on other US markets, CEO Axel Thiemann said.

Subject to customary conditions, the deal is to be completed in two stages between December 2021 and March 2022, the solar IPP added.
