Statkraft connects 44.5-MW solar farm to grid in Spain
Sep 19, 2024 15:28 CESTJul 22, 2013 - Spanish energy firm Gas Natural Fenosa (MCE:GAS) and domestic group Montealto have obtained environmental permit to build, separately, two biomass plants of a total 18 MW, according to Extremadura's official gazette DOE.
The first facility, of 10 MW, will be built in Calzadilla, the province of Caceres, by Gas Natural Fenosa's unit Energias Especiales de Extremadura. It is calculated to require an investment of between EUR 22 million (USD 28.98m) and EUR 30 million and to create some 25 direct jobs.
The plant of Montealto's subsidiary Biomasa Renovables 1, will be located in Puebla del Rio, Badajoz.
