Spanish solar EPC contractor Enerland said on Wednesday that it has finalised the construction of a 14.3-MWp solar farm, called Caiman Cienaguero, in Colombia.

The facility, which was commissioned in November 2023, was built for GreenYellow, a French renewable energy solutions provider.

The Caiman Cienaguero project involved the installation of 22,000 solar panels on a 20-hectare (49.4 acres) site. Construction was completed in six months.

The plant is expected to generate 26.4 MWh of electricity per year, the Spanish firm said.

Caiman Cienaguero is Enerland’s fourth finalised solar park project in Colombia, following the commissioning of La Tolua and Tierra Linda last year, and Canal del Dique in 2021.
