Spanish solar developer-operator Solarpack has rebranded into Zelestra, signalling a strategic shift towards a more client-centric approach and a wider range of renewable energy technologies.

The new brand name, derived from the Latin words “celes” and “astra”, meaning fast and stars, reflects Zelestra's aim to be agile and go beyond limits, explained CEO Leo Moreno in today’s LinkedIn post.

Moving beyond Solarpack’s legacy of being a solar pure-player, Zelestra will now encompass solar, wind, battery storage, and green hydrogen technologies in its project development.

The messaging in the press release also emphasised the company's focus on customer needs through co-created, tailored decarbonisation solutions.

“[…] It is fundamental for us to have a brand that not only supports the strategy of our business but also stands out in a sector as competitive as that of renewables. Differentiation is vital to remain relevant and competitive, and we are proud of our new brand that reflects the unique value we bring in advancing a carbon-free future for customers and our planet,” Moreno stated.

Zelestra, a portfolio company of Swedish investment group EQT AB (STO:EQT), says it has a portfolio of 20 GW of carbon-free projects across 13 countries.
