Spanish engineering and industrial construction group TSK Electronica y Electricidad SA has been awarded a contract to build two solar photovoltaic plants totalling 180 MW for US utility AES Corp (NYSE:AES) in the Dominican Republic.

The job requires TSK to deliver the Peravia I and II solar projects, located in the municipality of Bani in Peravia province, the Spanish firm said. No other details were disclosed.

The latest award strengthens the relationship between TSK and the US utility in the Caribbean country, the contractor added. The company previously executed three solar projects for AES Dominicana, including AES Bayasol, its first renewables initiative in the Dominican Republic.
