Spanish solar development and EPC services provider Prosolia Energy said on Thursday that it has opened a subsidiary in Germany as part of its strategy to provide a global energy decarbonisation service for industrial clients.

Prosolia Deutschland GmbH is led by Daniel Pena Buettner, who joined the company to become the country manager for Germany.

The headquarters is located in Frankfurt, where the company can cater to various customers in the automotive and ancillary industries. The new unit has already secured around 40 MW worth of projects in the Frankfurt area, according to a news report from Spanish outlet Las Provincias.

Prosolia Deutschland will provide the same services it offers in its other markets, including the turnkey delivery of projects, the sale of electricity with guaranteed renewable origin and through power purchase agreements (PPAs), the provision of monitoring systems, operation and maintenance services, and administrative support for solar plant development in line with local regulation.
