SPI Solar to develop second solar project for Twentieth Century Fox

Dec 7, 2011 - US photovoltaic (PV) solar developer SPI Solar (OTC:SOPW), majority-owned by Chinese LDK Solar (NYSE:LDK), said today it would build a second rooftop solar system for Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp with a capacity of 230-kW.

In February this year, the company completed a 160-kW direct current (DC) installation on the roof of Fox’s Building 99. It will now install 230 kW of solar modules at the Century City studio complex.

The project comes in line with the strategy of Fox's parent group US News Corp (NASDAQ:NWSA) to lower its environmental footprint and grow sustainably.
