ABP presents plan to turn Port of Barrow into renewables hub
Sep 18, 2024 14:41 CESTFeb 28, 2013 - UK utility SSE Plc (LON:SSE) said Wednesday the first of 14 turbines to be installed at its 32.2-MW Calliachar wind farm in Scotland had been erected.
Installation of the rest of the turbines, whose tower sections are being produced by Wind Towers Ltd, will be completed over the next few months.
The construction of the Calliachar project, which is loocated near Aberfeldy, Perthshire, was approved by the Scottish government in July 2010, but SSE received approval by the Perth and Kinross Council Development Control Committee to change tip height of the turbines only in January 2012.
