Contracts signed for 9.58 GW in UK’s latest CfD auction
Nov 14, 2024 19:00 CESTBritish utility SSE plc’s (LON:SSE) renewables arm announced the start of the public consultation process for a project to build an onshore wind farm of up to 60 MW in Northern Ireland.
The Tattymoyle Wind Farm will host as many as 10 turbines with a maximum tip height of 180 meters (590 ft). It will be located in the district of Fermanagh and Omagh. Once commissioned, the site will generate enough energy to power around 65,000 homes.
The Tattymoyle site will mark SSE Renewables' first new project in Northern Ireland in several years. The company noted that it may consider the addition of a co-located battery energy storage system (BESS).
The consultation process will continue until December 6. The planning application submission is expected to take place in the second quarter of 2025.
