Indian solar plant installer Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy Ltd (BOM:542760), or SWRE, has secured an order involving the construction of a 400-MW solar park in the state of Rajasthan.

The engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) order was placed by a leading private renewable independent power producer and is estimated at over INR 5.5 billion (USD 65.5m/EUR 59.6m), the company said in a bourse filing.

In addition to building, testing and commissioning the photovoltaic (PV) plant, SWRE will also handle the construction of a 220-kV switchyard. Specific details about the solar farm’s location and planned commissioning were not available.

Including the latest award, SWREL has been awarded orders with a combined value of more than INR 9 billion in the current quarter. The company has installed about 19.4 GWp of solar and energy storage capacity globally and also oversees the operation and maintenance (O&M) of 8.2 GWp of PV parks.
