German solar projects developer SUNfarming GmbH said on Monday that it obtained mezzanine financing in a double-digit million amount in Euro for a 185-MWp portfolio of operational photovoltaic (PV) plants.

The news was announced by Capcora GmbH, which acted as an exclusive financial advisor to SUNfarming in the transaction. It said that the funds were raised from a managed account administered by Prime Capital AG through the issuance of two project bonds.

"Thanks to this transaction, we were once again able to generate considerable liquidity from our existing portfolio. These additional financial resources enable us to finance our growth, especially in Germany, and successfully drive forward our ongoing projects," commented Martin Tauschke, managing partner at the SUNfarming Group.

Prime Capital’s advisors in this transaction included Simmons & Simmons (legal), meteocontrol (technical), Eight Advisory (tax) and EURO Transaction Solutions (insurance). Apart from Capcora, SUNfarming was advised by Hogan Lovells on legal matters.
