World set to install 593 GW of new solar in 2024 - Ember
Sep 19, 2024 13:28 CESTChinese solar inverter maker Sungrow Power Supply Co Ltd (SHE:300274) has signed a deal with Brazilian SOL+ Distribuidora, the new business arm of Holding SOL Copernico, for the distribution of 500 MW of its photovoltaic (PV) inverters in the South American country.
Under the agreement, SOL+ will become a distribution hub for Sungrow in Brazil and deploy the equipment across the country for micro and mini-distributed generation (DG) solar projects. The Brazilian company will also offer a guarantee, support, and local technical assistance, Sungrow announced today.
With the distribution deal, Sungrow aims to consolidate its position in the area of residential inverters up to 10kW.
"The partnership with Sungrow marks the beginning of an important step to facilitate the development of the distributed microgeneration market with premium and cost-effective inverter solutions for resellers and integrators across the country," said Joaquim Fernandes, Business Director at SOL+.
