US firm SunLink Corp, which makes balance of system products for solar installations, announced on Tuesday it has concluded delivery in connection with 37 MW of projects in the western part of Honduras.

The company, a provider of solar trackers as well as roof and ground-mount systems, said in a statement that its activity in Honduras is part of a larger push into the region and beyond. It added that the Latin American projects are just a piece of its portfolio throughout the Americas, with total bookings surpassing 1 GW.

“Every major player in the solar market is contemplating international solar activity as a way to mitigate risks associated with the predicted temporary 2017 dip in the domestic market – whether that’s through projects, M&A or strategic alliances,” commented CEO Michael Maulick.

SunLink quoted data from GTM Research according to which Honduras was Latin America’s second largest solar market in 2015.
