NTPC’s green energy arm eyes USD 1.2bn from Indian IPO
Sep 19, 2024 11:52 CESTMar 20, 2013 - US Solar cell maker Sunpreme said yesterday it had put on stream a 150-kW rooftop solar installation at the Guru Nanak Dev Super Speciality (GNDSS) hospital in Punjab, India.
The photovoltaic (PV) system will produce 225,000 kWh of electricity each year. Its output will be enough to meet the power demand of more than 200 average Indian homes, mitigating 316,000 pounds (143,335 kg) of carbon dioxide emissions a year.
During its lifetime of 25 years, the installation is estimated to bring power savings of more than INR 90 million (USD 1.7m/EUR 1.3m).
Sunpreme has UL 1703, IEC 61646, IEC 61730-01 and IEC 61730-02 certifications for PV cells and panels as well as a ISO 9001 certification for its research and development (R&D) facilities.
