Sunsure Energy to supply solar power to Kajaria Ceramics SolarArise Indian solar park in Uttar Pradesh

Indian renewable power developer Sunsure Energy has reached an open access solar power purchase agreement (PPA) with local company Kajaria Ceramics Ltd (NSE: KAJARIACER) for its tiles factory in the city of Sikandrabad.

Under the contract, Sunsure Energy will sell over 15.75 million kWh of green power to Kajaria. The deal is expected to help avoid over 12,600 tonnes of carbon dioxide annually for the next 25 years, according to a statement from Monday

“Our switch to RE power with Sunsure Energy is our attempt to conduct our business in the most responsible and sustainable manner,” said Ram Chandra Rawat, a company secretary at Kajaria Ceramics.

The deal with Kajaria follows a similar PPA agreed by Sunsure with domestic food and consumer products maker Allana Group in July.
