Swiss fund manager SUSI Partners said it has achieved a final close of USD 120 million (EUR 120m) for its flagship Southeast Asia-focused energy transition fund SAETF which has already invested in a utility-scale renewables platform and distributed solar PV partnerships.

At its first close, SAETF attracted commitments from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), Dutch development bank FMO, as well as Nordic development finance institutions (DFIs) Norfund and Swedfund. Then, it has also secured funds from Austrian OeEB, British International Investment (BII) and BIO, the Belgian Investment Company for Developing Countries.

The fund’s final close took place at the end of May. Its portfolio currently comprises four investments, including an energy efficiency-focused joint venture with Malaysian company InvestEnergy, a utility-scale renewables development platform with Singapore-based Pacific Impact Development, and two investments focusing on distributed solar PV solutions for commercial and industrial (C&I) end clients with Singapore-based Entoria Energy and Asia Clean Capital Vietnam, respectively.
